I just got him today and am going to bathe him soon on advise from his owner and because he has a bit of poopy bottom. I am not sure how to clip the back feathers on a rumpless Araucanas and did a search but cant find anything on it. I am going to google it some more but if anyone has a link or any info it would be appreciated.

I would be interested to hear from others about this. I had to clip vent feathers from my older BR as her droppings were caked and washing did not help much. I got a small but sharp pair of scissors, picked her up and held her securely under my arm with her head facing away and clipped vent feathers about 1/4 inch from her body. I don't know if I did it right or wrong, I think the most important thing is to clip quickly and not pull the feathers.

The whole thing took only a couple of minutes and was way less stressful for her than trying to wash her bottom. Wonder what others will say?
