How do I compost from my flocks droppings?

I put mine right in the garden, too. If Im planting new plants, I take a shovel full and mix with the soil, then plant. If the plants are already there (flowers), I just sprinkle some alongside. Ive never had a problem with plants burning, only growing too big!

the only time I've had stinky chicken poo is when I leave it in the collecting garbage can too long. composting or tilling it in soil that will sit at least a while is great too. For the summer I'm leaving out the pine shavings and just scooping poo it's less "stuff" to worry about. You could also make chicken poo tea ( I know sound delish) put the poo in a water tight container and add water. let it sit use it on all the stuff growing in you yard except for eating veggies--don't spray down your tomatoes or broccoli etc. don't want poo on your food only in the ground and roots.

Thanks everyone. I have my chicken coop and run under a large oak tree in the corner of my yard. Partially for concealment and for it to be cooler for them during the summertime. There is always a lot of oak leave in there and sometimes my DS two ducks makes one small area a little smelly so I wasn't sure if the compost would be just as smelly. So I think I have it all figured out. I don't think I want any chicken poo tea
