how do i correct this?

one of the newest chicks i hatched has a problem with its legs. they stick straight out in front and it cant walk on them. it scoots instead. what can i do? i am not gonna put it down either so dont say it. its not in pain just needs a bit of assistance.

My brother has had that problem with baby pheasants too. He uses a rubberband to hold the legs together for a day or two. He says it works. I used to just.... well you know.

I had one get stuck in the shell trying to hatch last Feb. I had to peel the shell off the chick, I never thought she would live but had to try. It took a few days before she could stand up but she pulled through and is steady laying eggs now
