how do I discourage picking on my young rooster?

I have 11 hens and 1 young roo, their all fairly tame and nice but the hens are alot older then the roo and are always not letting him near them and pecking him. How do I discourge this quickly?

Isolate him. Feed (high protien) and water him well and let him grow up some more.

Once he's bigger he'll be able to indimidate better. Ah, the pecking order world of chickens.

Maybe they are too crammed. Is your coop big enough?

maybe cull a few hens infront of them..... That will learn 'em.
