Hello people
I have 3 muscovy ducks living with leghorns! My ducks are 6 months old.
I fear I will not know what egg is for duck or for a hen. I have never seen the duck laying or trying to. How could I know? Could the duck put her eggs near the hens eggs? I built for all of them seperated nests but they don't use it.
these eggs are of today
700

Any ideas? I want the duck to hatch :( and I want to eat the hens eggs.

I have rouens and theier eggs are alot bigger than my chickens eggs. Also the shell is a really smooth almost translucent color. I can't see through it but it is a totally diiferent white than the chickens.

But their are different type of chickens and different sizes and colors of eggs! More over muscov ducks may differ from rouens.
Thank you I hope it's bigger :)

I did some searching and muscovy eggs are also twice the size as chicken and described as smooth an almost waxy feel compaired to chicken eggs. Once you see a duck egg you will see the difference. Chicken egg shells are just so different than duck eggs.

Thank you now I feel some relief. I hope this information is so accurate.
Can anyone else help me? White egg of a layer hen vs muscovy duck !! How can I know which for who?
