How do I free range my flock

well,,, i was thinking about it and, there is the other side of the shed that is available (used to be the pumkin patch) but DH dosent want me putting the chickens there because they would be visible to the neighbors
ive spoken to the neighbors when we asked them if they would mind if we had chickens, and no one cared at all whether we had some or not. So i don't see that it would be problem to anyone. if anything it would give them something to look at when they take their walks.

Keep in good terms with your neighbors by occasionally giving them free eggs. This will go a long way in building good relations with them. I live in the city and used to worry about the neighbors complaining but was pleasantly surprised when they were all for it. If you really don't want the hens to be seen, could you perhaps plant some bushes to kind of hide them? Just a thought.

that is a really good point about giving them some eggs once in awhile. Our neighbors are really good with it but i guess i shouldnt push too hard, lol
ill make sure and ask them about the visiblity issue just to make sure we are all good, but so far that is the plan. its not free ranging but i guess that is as close as it will get for me
