How do I get my baby chicks to like me?

My chicks are about 3 weeks old and they have feared me ever since I took care of their pasty butts. I can never get ahold of one of the chickens to give them attention and to hold them once in awhile. Any ideas of ways to get them to warm up to me again?

Have you tryed holding some feed in your hand and letting them eat out your hand

They will eat out of my hand but at least one or two of them will just peck at my hand

A couple of mine do that to.
Sorry I don't know what else to do besides that. Hopefully someone else gets on here to. this is my first time trying to get chicks to like me to. The last chicks i had that are a year old just got picked up every few days out of 15 only 2 are friendly and jump in my hands when i walk in the coop.

I’ll just keep trying to give them attention every day the roo I had to give up was the only one that would sleep in my hand.

I never raised them from day olds, however I have raised them from pullets. When I first got them about nine months ago (my first time with chickens) they wouldn't even come near me, which stressed me out even more. I eventually just spent a lot of time near them and would occasionally reward them with treats. I also always make a clicking sound when I go down to their coop so they can recognize that it's me. It takes time but now I can pick them up pretty easily (except once in a while when they seem to think it's fun to run away )! That's all I can think of but best of luck to you and your chicks!

I have had chicks (a current one) that won't have anything to do with me, but have six others that hang out at my feet and perch on my arm. I believe it has to do with the temperament of the particular breed. I'm not skilled, just observant. The white leghorns, in my opinion, are the most standoffish of chickens. I have others, that are much more cordial. Will let you know what they are when I remember. MS sucks. Cannot remember a thing!

I have also thought it may be breed related. My easer egger seem especially aloof.
