This year I want to get my flock NPIP approved (I am located in Virginia). My questions are who do I contact? How much does it cost? and how often to I have to renew it? I also have another question about having the certification.I had talked to one person who said if you have the certification and you introduce a new bird the certificate is void and you need a new one... is that true? What about chicks born on my property from my birds, hatching eggs I bought, and/or chicks I bought how does the certificate change if at all with this? Also I'm assuming if someone buys from me the certification lets them know the bird is healthy but void once the bird leaves my property. Right? Pros vs. Cons of having the certificate? I would love to hear input from everyone. Thank you in advance!

Call ,Department of livestock poultry heath program in your state. Every state is diff . on price and etc. NPIP is yearly but some of the other test every 6 months.
