How Do i Get My Hens To Lay More Eggs?

My hens are now 4 months old, and have been laying for a little while, but I am expecting more eggs from my other hens, and only one is laying! Is that bad? And what can I do to speed up the process? Or do they start to lay alot when they get older?

I don't think there is really anything you can do, hens will start to lay when they are ready, my production hens started at about 5 months but my SLWx were hatched in feb and only started laying in the last 2 weeks. They can take a few weeks to settle into how many they will lay a week but beside trying different feed I think it's upto them. I only have 1 that lays everyday and that's cause she is breed to, the others give me about 5 a week each.
