How do I get my male coturnix quail to stop crowing in the morning!?

Had a buddy dress like that guy for Halloween...as the night progressed and libations were imbibed in more significant quantities strange whelps began forming on people's legs...right up until some chick dressed as some sort of animal knocked the Irish out of him.

Ok, so... my male quails keep on crowing, like, 70 times (literally) at 6 AM, and they do that every day. Anyone have any idea on how to make them shut up?

Ok, now that I'm done laughing my butt off..... Scout, on a serious note, is this one your only roo, or is he one of many? And how many weeks are they? And why are they still inside? When they are still a few weeks old, it seems like they are trying out their voices.

At one point in time, I had 5 or six males in a grow out cage, and it sounded like dueling coturnix, then one day, they reached 15 ounces and each one of them was grilled with onions and peppers. I have a total of 2 roos right now, and I the only time I hear them crow is when I go into the garage to feed them.

Believe it or not. This is the part I'm dreading. I really dont want my neighbors to know I have my flock of birds. They are all kind of yuppies and would rather buy at the store than help themselves. Guess it's really my fault for living where I do. When they start to crow, they got to go in my belly.

From my very new experience with coturnix quail is that not enough hens create crowing from a rooster looking to have more honeys. The more hens, the busier he is trying to keep them happy and mount them. So try get him outnumbered, and he'll be too busy to think about crowing.
