How do I get off the spiral legbands?

Any tips or tricks? I used them on my babies when they were a few days old. Now they are almost three weeks and the leg bands are going to be too small very soon.

You pry open one end, then work them around the leg. If you don't need to use them again, you can just cut them off with a pair of wire cutters.
