How do I get rid of leg mites?!

I've been doing a little research about leg mites, I have been noticing it on my chickens and I want to know what really helps! Please help me, I know that it is very annoying for them and I don't want it to get worse.​

I have had some success with globing Vaseline on the legs to cut off their air supply.
