My dad got 6 duck eggs from somone he works for and I am going to hatch them (hopefully!!!) but I have no idea how!!! If anyone can explain how long to incubate them and somthing about misting them with water!?!?! Please help! Thanks!!!!

what kind of ducks are they? Most ducks are the same temp. & humidity but Pekins are different.

We just did Runner ducks and our incubator said ....

Days 1 thru 25

Temp. 99.5
Humidity 65% to 70%

Days 26 thru 28

Temp. 97*
Humidity 80%

Now what we have found is that runner ducks actually go 29 days according to most of the duck hatchery websites I've found. Ours did go 29 days on the nose! Then during lockdown we kept our incy at 80% but during hatching we got more movement & faster hatching at a humidity between 75% and 79% Hope this helps!

GOOD LUCK!!

Also. Mine have hatched best when I misted them and cooled them from 10 to 15 minutes once a day after the fourth day of incubation.

If you look under hatching and incubation - you will find all sorts of information. What kind of incubator do you have???
