how do i install a pc fan to my bater

    hi i just been given a old computer fan how to i wire it up to make it spin do you use a plug and run of the mains

    use a 12 volt adapter, cell phone chargers will work.

    Dont' plug it into the wall - that will be bad.

    Find an old 12 volt transformer like those used to recharge cell phones or answering machines. You can buy a new one at radio shack too - or even walmart.

    Then wire the fan into that.

    on the back of the fan it will tell you what voltage is required many different small appliances have voltage adaptors to reduce the mains voltage down the level the appliance needs, our version of a "boot sale" is where I found mine there is polarity that need to be observed if the fan does not run at first swop the wires round and it should take off good luck.
