How do I keep chickens off the top of nest box?

I built our nest box based on the neibors advice. It's a 2'x4' box that's 18" tall with a hinged lid at a 45 degree angle back to front that is hinged in the back.

Yesterday I put two dividers inside to make four semi private nests.

The change seems to be aceptable to them.
