How do I keep my homemade bread fresh? what do you do with stale bread

Leftover bread goes to my ladies
for a job well done.and it keeps them warmer on the chilly days.
when there is leftovers.
I keep it in a plastic bag. leaving the bag opened.

Hi,

I'm not too creative with stale bread. I just gather up any I have every few days and feed it to the girls. I have also made bread pudding but no one around here eats it but me so I have sort of given that up as I'm bound to gain weight from eating the whole thing myself! And I also can't keep my homemade bread fresh for very long--just love it, though!
