Im not sure if my birds are eating enought food and the right kinds of food.... I feed two cups of layer mash and four cups of baby feed each day. for six chicks and three one year olds (on roo, two girls)... I never knew about "treats" suck as apples watermelon and other scraps untill i found this site. Ive had my year ols from about two weeks old and the six babies are theirs, they are about three weeks old now. what is a good ratio of feed I should be using? I toss the food on the ground and in a flat bowl which they scratch at. But is it enough. there is always a little bit of food left in the bowl the next day.
