How do I know if my chicken is egg bound or constipated?

My chicken has been looking quite down recently as she lays down a lot with her eyes closed but then I realised she is panting and her vent is contracting a lot. So I’m not quite sure what it is but have done some research and am thinking she is egg bound or constipated (as she hasn’t pooped). It’s like she has ran out of energy and always sleeps. Does anyone know what this may be and how to treat it?

How old is she?
How long has she been unwell? She's not pooped in how long?
Has she had any problems laying eggs, are they normally a hard shelled egg?

Pick her up and feel her abdomen below the vent between her legs for bloat/swelling or fluid. While you are looking her over check for lice/mites and take note of what her crop feels like.

Is she able to stand and/or walk at all?

Photos of her and if she poops would be good.

If she's just laying about and not able to move, then do make sure she's staying hydrated, offer her water with electrolytes if you have them.

She is almost 1 years old. She isn’t usually the most active of chicken and she always is quite slow but recently (two or three days) she has got really bad and would lay down anywhere with her eyes shut and just stay there for ages. When she started laying eggs she was good and the shells were hard and normal then she has stopped laying in a few months then lays a few and stops again.
Im not sure what her abdomen should usually feel like as I’m new with chickens but I think it’s alright.
Her crop feels empty as she has went off eating as much as what she did. But not impacted or squishy.
She wasn’t walking at all but if I moved her then she would walk a bit and then lay down again but I just gave her a bath and when I took her out she piped up and is walking a lot but she also strains as if she wants to poop and spreads her wings. After taking her out she did this poo. It’s really watery and has some green things in it, could a egg have broke in her?

I would lean toward her having infection. Whether it's from a reproductive disorder or something else, sometimes it's hard to know.
Getting a fecal float to check for worms is always a good idea.

If vet care is not an option, you can try deworming and giving an antibiotic to see if she improves. Neither of these will be a cure if it's something serious, but they may make her more comfortable. Amoxicillin can be ordered online and Safeguard can be found at TSC.
