My hubby brought home 10 chicks of different breeds but can't remember what each breed is. Is there a way to find out what each breed might be from a chart with pictures or something like that? So far I see that there is a HUGE variety of chickens out there. I had no idea!

Thanks - I think that I figured out what type of chicks we have:

1 - New Hampshire Red
3 - Red Stars
2 - Partridge Plymoth Rocks
1 - Golden Laced Wyndotte
3 - Cuckoo Marans, I think? - there are a lot of black and white chicks out there but this chicken seems to be more black than white like ours.

I think we have a good mix of chicks. I am wondering how many eggs each lays?

on my petchicken they have description of the breed and it has on average how many each breed lays a week.

Got these numbers recently off a website and had written them down...will try to find it. Of course every hen is different! Some will be good layers and some not.

OK I think this is where I found it...been reading way too many websites lately!
