Chick is just starting her 1st moult.
A little bit of ginger is showing on her chest & wings.​

Comb starting to show. More pale orange than anything.
No sign of wattles yet. Very hopeful I have a pullet.​

Tuft of a tail. More like a bunny's than anything else. And she is booted! But not, I don't think, frizzled.
Wrold is proving to be a very good mum. Last time I think there were too many hens running interference & she got fed up with the whole show. This time no-one is meddling & while she's still a Tiger Mum, bubs is thriving under her care - though I did rather raise my eyebrows when she gave this mite a witchety grub nearly as big as she was! And bubs had to fight the rest of the tribe off. Witchety grubs are highly prized.
The only time I've seen another hen go for the chick Wrold went super high, all her talons showing. No-one has tried that again.

Thanks RC. I was supposed to be working on an assignment but this was much more fun.
