(i think cream cheese if i'm putting blueberries in??...)

Oooh, Yah, definitely cream cheese. My grandma used to make lemon cake in a bunt pan, then warm the frosting slightly to drizzle over it

She did that with rum cake too..... Ahh man! Now I want rum cake too!

If you're going for refreshing a glaze is definitely the way to go! If I remember correctly its basically just lemon juice, water, and powdered sugar...doesn't get much easier!

Oh and my recipe is from boxed cake!

try this!!

Lemon Glaze Cake

1 box yellow or lemon cake
1 sm pkg lemon pudding
3/4 C oil
3/4 C water
3 eggs

Mix until smooth and bake 30-35 minutes at 350°. in greased 9x13 pan.

Combine:
2 C powdered sugar
2 Tbls butter
2 Tbls water
1/3 C. lemon juice

Melt in saucepan until butter is melted. poke holes in cake and pour glaze over. the corners are always a favorite here! they soak up all the glaze! mmm!

This has been a favorite family recipe for 4+ generations! it was my great grandma's recipe and I still make it all the time now!

I had a lemon cookie recipe that needed more lemon zing but not more liquid. I opened an envelope of Kool-Aid and used around a teaspoon. Worked great to give me the zippy flavor I wanted.

forget cream cheez or choclate....go with seedless raspberry jam.....put on stove over low heat...stir constantly until runny....drizzle over cake....soooo yummy!!!!!!!!!!!
