First of all, that is so sweet of you to think of your sis! Here’s what I do:
I prefer to use slices of old French bread or Challah bread, but you can use any white bread.
Melt butter in a fry pan to cook the French toast.
Mix one cup of half and half (you can use milk instead) with one egg, one teaspoon of cinnamon and one tablespoon of vanilla. Mix well. Pour the mix into a flat pan (I use a brownie pan), then put the bread into the mix. Flip the bread over to coat the other side (this goes quickly with sliced white bread), then transfer the slices to the fry pan with a spatula. Cook that side until brown, then flip it over to coat the other side.
Serve it with maple syrup or whipped cream and berries!
