How do I make my bird feel less lonely?

Hello. Yesterday morning one of my quail, a week after she had undergone surgery on her left thigh because of a fracture, died suddenly. We originally had two quail, both female and they were fine together. Now that one's gone, I'm worried about my other girl. I was wondering if there were fake quail dolls or something like that to put in my cage to make her feel less lonely, or perhaps a mirror or something would work. I'm definitely open to suggestions. Thanks.

I would provide a mirror where she could interact with herself until you could get her a companion.

I'd second using a mirror, or maybe a plush, but only as a temporary measure. If it's a button quail or bobwhite, get another of the same species. If it's a coturnix, get several other quail.
