I’m done at “ it attacked my toddler “ do you know how fast your son could loose an eye? He’s shorter then you just the right height for that aggressive rooster to get him.

I can’t believe you found someone to feed this .. I like my Roosters too but not more then my child . Do the responsible thing and kill that beast , they’re either mean or nice .. that is true !!!

Chill! It’s not hard to seperate children and roosters. Nobody wants this thread to become a war zone, I hate it when that happens.

Ok so let’s discuss aggressive roosters . How many have you had ? How many toddlers have you had ? It’s common knowledge that roosters are either good or bad , children are 100% good , if you haven’t been a parent , you have no basis to understand the danger

The point is children are defenceless against a aggressive dog, rooster or even a cat , patents protect your children ,they shouldn’t be scared of chickens

I'm calm, really. This cockerel need to land in someone's crockpot, before anyone is injured. If adults want to be attacked by an idiot bird, that's one thing. There's no way any child can cope with or manage this situation. Loosing an eye is not a good way to learn about chickens!

You shouldn’t kill a rooster as a first response. It might be temporary hormones, it might be a one time thing, there are so many other ways to deal with this.

I've personally never known of anyone whose been able to turn a nasty rooster who chases and spurs people into a friendly pet. She's also not taking about a 10 year old kid who can whack it with a stick or give it a good punt if it tried to flog him. A toddler is not capable of defending itself against an aggressive rooster. Like it was mentioned earlier, little ones eyes are within striking range of a chicken and very vulnerable. Someone may really love their nasty rooster but as a parent, the responsible thing is to put your child's safety before your affections for a bird. If you don't want to kill it that's fine but it should really be rehomed. Kids safety trumps a pet any day.

Holy crap, no one is listening to me. I’ve said this like five times, seperate them. Then he won’t have to defend himself, and the rooster can be kept. It’s a win/win situation, and it’s the best one I can think of.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume you don't have little kids.

When it's involving a toddler, the article doesn't matter. That bird may be okay with adults... MAYBE if it's worked with but that tiny human will be attacked again and again until it's big enough to hit that rooster back and hard. It's a safety concern and risk with a little kid and it's going to be for a long, long time.
