How do I Re-introduce a Bird?

We have a couple of birds that have been injured (one Buff Orpington, one RIR) and cannot re-introduce them. we have tried several times, but every time, they get pecked or injured by the other birds, and we have to seperat them again. we have tryed hot sauces, nothing works. Can anyone help?

Can you explain a bit about how you go about re-introducing them? Do they still have open or obvious sores from their previous injuries? If so, the chickens will tend to pick at them. You could put blue kote on so it's not so obvious. I find re-introducing them on the roost at night is the best way and then go out early to keep an eye on things to make sure pecking is minimal. They will go thru pecking order again, but you don't want any blood drawn, so close monitoring is necessary for a bit to make sure they're fitting in alright.

basically set them down and watch them for a while. no, ther is nothing showing when we re-introduce. sometimes they will be okay for a haf a day, then they will fight.

If they have been away from the flock for two weeks or more, the are probably completely forgotten, and it is like introducing new chickens. Is there any way you can section off part of the coop, so they can be separate, but visible, for a couple of weeks? Then they will be accepted back more easily. Also make sure they have two feeders and waterers, as they can be very possessive of these. If you can free-range them together that is also helpful.
