How do I sell broilers on craigslist?

Is there a proper wording for an ad for broilers that won't get flagged? I thought it was ok to sell birds off the farm (fewer than 1000), but my ad keeps getting flagged. I did a search and found a couple of other broiler ads that somehow squeaked through. Was the flagger just lazy that day or is there some key wording that I should/shouldn't use?

Maybe just list them as Cornish Rock Cross chickens without the mention of eating them. Some folks are sensitive to such things on CL.

I have found on craigslist that when an add gets flagged look at the other adds of people selling the same thing. If you flag those adds it suddenly stops.... go figure. Also, we have contacted craigslist and asked why the add was removed when it violated no rules and after that also helps cure it.

Most of the flags on Craigslist are from the general public and not Craigslist employees. Sometimes people are misinformed about the rules, others will flag something perfectly legal just because they don't like it. I suspect there is some flagging of competitor’s ads as well.

You get what you pay for and Craigslist is free. Complain to Craigslist, if it was legal they will put it back up.

Posts can be flagged by anyone. I have had a perfectly legal post flagged because I stated that I wanted to buy a hog for home butchering, and I got ugly hate mail from what was clearly an animal rights activist. Yes, they will flag your posts if they decide to be offended about the notion that *gasp* meat comes from farm animals and you have to kill them to get it.

The folks doing this are, no doubt, wearing leather and eating McDonald's burgers as they self righteously push those keys to make the world a safer place for farm animals. Because meat grows in little styrofoam packages at WalMart, where no animals are harmed in the making.
