My ducks lay everyday and I have about 100 eggs starting to hatch... I have mostly local pick up orders but I have a order to send 2 duckings by mail...

Can anyone tell me how to do this...

what type of box
how long after hatching do i send

thanks
Lauren

I have never done it but I know they are shipped during the 1st 24 hrs of being hatched because thats about how long they can go until they need food and water. I don't know what type of container or shipping cost but I also am curious to know as I raise ducks as well.

So I have a 24 hour window to get them there? Wow cause it takes them a while to dry off in the incubator I just learned 12-24 hours.
Do I still let them dry off in the incubator?.
This might be harder then I thought.
Im wondering if I should put additional ducklings in the box just incase some dont make it......

I would ship them right out of the egg. You have to ship them with a time stamp and follow rules for shipping day old poultry.
