How Do I stop hens from laying on the floor?

They were hideing their nests, I found it, Removed the eggs, Then Put the nest box over it. They scratched a new nest. I put it over that one. they scratched a new one.

Sometimes "seeding" the nesting box with an egg or a golf ball helps.

I did notice that their favorite nest box was the one with the golf ball in it...

i went out there yesterday and it looked like they were playing soccer with a egg. Didnt break it just was kicking it around to eachother
