How do I teach the ducks to get into the pool?

We used a large flat rock as a step for the ducks to get in. Getting out was easy for them. They wanted nothing to do with the ramp DH built.

I had a duck that couldn't figure out how to get into a pool, the rest of the brood had it down in minutes but she never did, not even her desire to play under water duck with the rest could get her to figure it out. she was rather clumbsy and not very smart. I am sure yours will figure it out.

I use chopped romaine to get mine in to their new pool.. Works like a charm.. put a little on the ramp and then when they go up the ramp some in the water..

I have a split when it comes to the ducks climbing into their pool. 3 ducks go right up the stairs and into the pool. The 4th one does pretty good. Eventually the 5th one gets it but that 6th duck..... I just don't know what it is..... she gets to the top and goes right down the other side. Not to bright. I helped her again today and hopefully she will get it figured out. I almost feel sorry for her because she wants to get in the pool so bad....... lol.

They are only 4 1/2 week old runner ducks. I'm going with the fact that they are still young even though they go in and out of the poole everyday around 3 times..... haha.
