So I have a year old Cayuga Duck that we are sure has pulled a muscle in her leg (how I have no idea, she is so clumsy anything could have happened). I have read that tying the leg up underneath is a way to help them heal. I think it would be a good idea, since she lays with her bad leg sprawled behind her. How would I go about tying her leg though? I don't want to further injure her. And would epsom salt baths help as well? Any advice would be wonderful!! Thank you!

Is a vet an option? Are you sure it's not broken?
I called our local vet and they said there isn't anything they can do. They apparently don't know about ducks. Although they are suppose to cover poultry and small farm animals (sorry, very upset about it.) It doesn't seem to be broken. We thoroughly checked out the leg, we are able to touch and poke and prod the leg but when we pull the leg out she quacks and yanks her leg back in. Would that mean it is broken?
Sorry about my inexperience, I got these 3 ducks last year and it has been smooth sailing with them, I've never had ducks before and this is luckily the only injury ever.

The best thing you could possibly do is bring the duck to a vet.
You don’t want to be treating her for something she mightn’t even have.

I want to do that, but its a 4 hour drive to any other vet and they might not even treat ducks. My father (a long time farmer who has successfully treated many things) does agree that it is a pulled or sprained muscle. And he's the next best thing to a vet around here
