how do I un broody my ducks? help

I have 2 broody ducks. How do I get them out of it..I have taken away the eggs and they still lay there all day..they are mean to my other females..this has been going on for 5 months..they will not really leave the shed very often..the crazy thing is both females are sharing the same nest and sharing sitting on the eggs...it was a difficult process just to get them out of the shed the last time. It seemed cruel trying to force them out..any suggestions would be great
