How do I......??

I have noticed some of the BYC members place their name, name of farm, website, etc over their pictures to hopefully avoid someone else from using the picture(s) without their permission

NOW....how do you do THAT??

You have to use a photo editor. I'm pretty certain that you can do that here: http://www.picnik.com .

I use Image Water Marker most of the time. You can also do it Photobucket by using their edit feature and writing on the photos.
