I have seen the Korean guy on T.V. but I still don't know what he is doing that is so "new" ?? What is it ?

Between me and thee, MJ, I think that the reason that "Gangnam Style" is so popular is that Psy created an almost perfect "earworm". You know, those tunes that get in your head and you can't get 'em out with anything less aggressive than a bullet? I heard a theory once that when a tune gets stuck like that, it's usually just a phrase or maybe a refrain, and your brain is trying to run through the rest of it and "complete the task." Gangnam Style has a catchy tune, so it engages the brain easily. The dance steps are simple enough too - the latest variation on the style of dance that can be done by a whole group simultaneously, rather than requiring a partner. The "hook" is insidious - some of the phrases are in English, but a lot isn't, and since most of us don't speak Korean, we hear the English parts on our heads but can't ever get through the rest and be done with it!
