how do you breed for chocolate?

Well, then, I bought mine from Jerry but I still don't know if I have chocolate or dun....what are mine?

I have seen chocolate in the old english. They breed Black OE over Fawn Sport OE from what I have read and studied. I know they are working real hard to get them recognized.

Chocolate in Old English is dun based, not choc based.

You beat me to it Sonoran. Fawn in OE is the same genetically as the Dun in Wyandottes. Fawn Silver Duckwing has been a recognized breed for close to or over 10 years now. Fawn Reds are not admitted but are gorgeous though.
Dun to me is just like Blue. Its not something that can be genetically "created", it has to be obtained from some other variety or from a mutation somewhere back in the woodpile.
