I would like info on how to build wire cages. Right now I am using dog crates. I need to make something a little bigger for my roos!

Thanks for posting this. I guess, since I used old rabbit cages--that I had to convert!!!--I never considering building. But, THIS way, I can make one the size that I want. I guess that's what this site does best. [IMG]

There are books available that can teach how to build wire cages...try some of the suppliers on the net....an all wire cage would be lighter than a wood framed...But if you are using them to travel on week ends to sell birds, than the wood IMO is the way to go.
I just love projects and building a cage can be fun.

I just got some Lobster pots from CL that we are going to convert to cages for $5.00/each. [IMG]

I made these with just wire and "J" clips
They are 30 X 30 X 24 , but can be made most any size.

They work great for the rabbits, and would be just as good for chickens

Oh the lobster pots would make a great cage for traveling to shows and stocks!

This is what I want to do! What size wire and where do you find J-clips?
