How do you clean feathers for craft use?

I had a guinea killed recently. My daughter and I collected all the feathers that were in good shape. We would like to use them for something, possibly a feather wreath. However I would like to clean them first since I don't know what ate it and what that predator could have had. Plus some of the feathers we find in their dust bath area are simply dirty but in great shape.
How do you clean feathers for use?

i don't know either. usually i just give a long scrub with soap and water.
