You can use metal zip ties or crimping rings.

Zip ties hold up well if you get the right ones. There are different sizes, but there are also different tensile strengths. Bigger is usually stronger, but not always. And, they do not have to be black to be UV rated. They can be white or black ones that are UV rated and you can get white or black not UV rated.

I have UV rated zip ties on different things that are still working well after several years.
