How do you do this?????

I agree with handle a lot, but gently and with lots of treats. We did that with ours and they definitely run to greet us (or really anybody) all the time. Starting when we got then (at about 3 days old) we only gave them treats when they were being held and fussed over. Now at just over a year old, they still react the same! Good luck!

We won our first chickens over with mealworms (sp?). We would put a worm in front of them, they loved them right away, then eventually we would have the worms on the ground but close to our hand, next step was holding the worms in our hand. After they took the mealworms from our hands they were our best friends. Now they hear us come outside and come a runnin' for some sort of food!
A week ago we got a year old Silkie and 3 Ameraucana chicks, we're trying the mealworms with them also. Our kids have "holding time" every day with their chicks.
