My family went on hike this afternoon and we picked these prickly pear fruits:

We want to know how to eat them because they look delicious!!!

do you know what they are? looks almost like a pomegranate

I think you can make jelly out of them. I've seen candies made with them.

I grew up in Spain and we used to go pickly pear picking all the time. we had some good gloves to keep the thorns out of our fingers/hands. we would just run them under water and scrub off the pickers, but them in half and eat the insides. we never ate the skin, but if they are not too soft you can peel them, they are so yummy.

3 of the things I miss the most about Spain is the figs, the dates, and the prickly pears we used to pick. yummmmm

They have this in Mexico. We eat this once in a while, fruits from a catus. Just cut them open and eat the inside like an orange but there is a lot of seeds, I just eat the seeds but some people don't.
