How do you feed your ducks and what treats are good for a duck? UPDATE

Remember that iceburg lettuce is not recommended as it does not contain much in the way of nutrients. Mine love diced watermelon and mealworms.

I still don't know quite what to feed my scovies (of course, the store runs out of what I need too, sometimes)

mine 2 drakes and 4 hens (drakes to live separately, 'cept in breeding season for short breeding sessions) are now on layer pellets from Nutrena.

They had been on Agway Game Maintenance Feed.

They chow down everything; show no distaste for layer pellets--though having the drakes get the hi calc. feed bothers me..........

I have 12 ducks and they love tomatoes! We planted extra in the garden of everything this year and the ducks and chickens ate all that we threw to them and they knew the sound of the 3 wheeler coming from the garden and would come running to meet it. I just fed them the last of the pumpkins we saved in the garage and we have about 2 dozen acorn squash left for them. Whatever the ducks won't eat the chickens do. They really seem to like pasta too.

Oh yeah watermelons were a big treat for all we just split a huge one in half and the ducks were all over it.
