How do you frame and build this type of window?

I want to do this, and i can frame the studs, but i dont understand how the screen is attached and how thats attached to the studs.

it looks like there's a wooden frame with HC tacked on that's nailed into the window opening?

It is two "frames" with the hardware cloth in the middle. I have done this before. I screwed the two frames together in the case I would have to replace the wire.

Good to know. I want to do that with my chicken coop, except i want to have one half of two sides be made of screen like that, with the ability to close it completely. Im in texas, and i want them to be cool at night, and warm in the winter!
