Just wondering- is this a cross, or a color in it's own right? How do you make it?
This pic is from windchyme in CA:

It's not a cross. It is gold pattern gene bird with a blue gene.

You would need to cross to a bird with a blue gene to get the blue gene & cross the offspring back to partridge.

Depending upon the bird you use to get the blue gene, there would usually be other genes to breed out, but that's the basic method.

When I breed blue partridge in silkies I did blue roo to partridge hen. The coloring is spread out like a splash but it had the partridge and blue colors. Some of the hens had very dark blue almost black and some had more of the lighter blue. When I crossed a hen bred like this back to another blue I lost alot of the partridge color. I actually gave those chicks away as mixes because although their type was excellent they were too dark. I am not a genetic expert though so..that was just my experience. LOL
