a home made feed hopper it holds 200 lbs of feed! I just got this hung on the coop wall!! Works like a champ!!

Wow that feeder is awesome!! Mine can only take about 50 Ibs of feed. And I give my chickens manually. I have a water barrel inside my run. It works okay but it takes a lot of time to fill up the waterers everyday... : }

Thanks!! I built it that big because I work long hours and don"t want to fill water and food at 5 am!!

Right now we just have a plain ole waterer. We just take the feed in the coop and spread it around on the ground. My girls love feeding and watering the chickens!

I would but I bought 43 chicks and that requires work. So I "made" it simple with bulk feeders!! I do throw them scratch and a really nice flake of alfalfa hay here and there.

Yup! Its good to give chickens special treats once and a while. I think it makes for healthier chickens!

For sure!! I also think it keeps them busy so they don't feather pick.
