We have cats too but they catch like one mouse a week. Its pretty lame...
cut down on the cat chow and that number will rise cats are lazy till they get hungry ,, look at their African cousins they lay around sleeping in the sun for days till they get hungry lol

I use the same nipples only I have a six gallon bucket mounted to the out side wall of my coop and used 1/2 PVC to plumb inside with six nipples for 32 birds works awesome birds took to it like ducks to water and the six gallons last about a week not enough time for alga to grow and only have to fill once nice and clean


That is my next project! I just ordered some saddle nipples so I can run a pipe into my brooder with an external reservoir. I figured that way I can adjust the height as the chicks grow, and the pipe will take up less room in my small brooder.
