guineas will go broody AND hatch out there own eggs. I had two hens hatch out over 40 keets this year. One thing i have to say is when they go broody "WATCH OUT"!!!
they will give any pit bull a run for there money if you get too close to the nest. Although one did lay in the guinea coop so she was protected 24/7. the other one nested in the shrubs on our front porch and she had a few run ins with a feral cat but she always came right back and sat on her eggs. I also incubated some of them. They take 28 days to hatch which makes them more open to predators. Also letting them roost outdoors is just asking for dead birds. They are pretty consistent layers and will lay an egg every day from about may to october. They are masters at hiding there nest. good luck they are great birds to have around!!
