How do you help a hen with a naked back?

Just got a hen with a naked back. Anything I need to do, or will the feathers just grow back and she will be 100%? No broken skin that I can see.

The feathers will grow back eventually. You can protect her back with a saddle. There are a lot of people on here make and sell them at a very reasonable price, just do a search for chicken saddles, or you can buy them from www.mypetchicken.com Also, if you go on many hatchery websites, they sell them too. If you choose not to use a saddle just make sure she doesn't get injured there. If the other chickens see a single spot of blood they will peck incessantly.

aloha, sweeterdeeter42, I would definitely give her a separate space until she starts to feather. She'll be pecked. Good food, exercise....those feathers will sprout in no time. Sweet of you to take her and make her better.
