How do you keep a hen in her yard?

You could put some shade cloth, bird netting or chicken wire over the top. Most of mine can get out of thier 6ft runs easily but I've got them topped with shade cloth now and they can't any longer. I keep them in a closed coop at night and the shadecloth also keeps the hawk and eagles out during the day.

Is there something else she wants? Does the run have low bushes to hide in or rocks to climb on...

My ladies were jumping the fence, so I moved it. They now have more interesting stuff and don't bother trying to get out.

I'm not sure if she is looking for something in particular or not when she jumps out I find her in different spots. One time she jumped our fence on our neighbors side and had to chase her around the empty lot behind their house and along the water drain ditch between our yards. I'll let her out for a day if she's been good then think she's going to stay in the yard and than the next day I have to go chase her down again. Gwen is a little trouble maker.
