How do you keep water nipples from freezing in the winter?

I was going to use water nipples but I'm not sure they will be the best to use over the winter. I'm in PA and we get sustained cold spells through the winter. I would be afraid the water nipples would freeze up and they wont get any water.

I have one in the coop and one outside. That way they always have something that is working. Good luck.

Cheapest aquarium heater from Walmart...be sure to mount it in the bottom of the bucket and that it is ALWAYS covered by water or it can start a fire.
