How do you know an egg is fertile?

being new here I don't feel stupid asking. I know someone here can tell me how to tell without destroying the egg.

You can't tell unless you either crack eggs into a dish or plate looking for the blastoderm ( white bulleye) or incubating the egg and candling at day 7 for veining and the embryo.
