How do you know if a wing is broke?

Our grandson was bending down looking at the babies when one decided to dart around him. He stepped back to avoid the baby & stepped on the outer part of her wing. She tries to pull it to her body but cant. I felt it & at first it felt broke. But now an hour later its pulled up to her side, but she bawks if you mess with it.

I would try not and mess with the wing she can heal it on her own. I would put electrolytes in the water it is good for shock and stress and it won't hurt the other chicks

Ok I will try that! They are still pretty young. Not allowed out after dusk. Lol
